Check out this Rare 1967 Sunbeam Alpine for Sale in Sonoma California

This 1967 Sunbeam Alpine Series V for sale was purchased by current owner due to its rust-free body in Santa Rosa, California after it had been stored for over 20 years.

Major, Rotisserie restoration, this Sunbeam was stripped down to the body/frame and given many significant upgrades and improvements. Driven under 50 miles since completion.

In early October of 2017, it was at the upholstery shop when the devastating Tubbs fire broke out which ultimately took the home and shop of its owner as he was in the final stages of the restoration. It was that short trip to the upholstery shop ended up saving this special Alpine!

This beautiful Sunbeam features a nicely rebuilt Ford 2.8L V6 which originally would have produced around 145 horsepower. Re-bored, larger valves, custom cam, ported and polished head; Offenhauser Intake, all new bearings and rods, Holley 390 four-barrel & custom air intake and custom valve covers with Alpine V-6 designation, properly installed using a V-6 package from Dan Richardson in South Carolina including custom engine mounts, transmission supports, alternator brackets, custom exhaust headers, and other required items.

This motor runs beautifully and now produces approximately 175 horsepower, a significant improvement over the original 92 horsepower 1,725cc engine. It keeps cool with a new triple-pass radiator. Shifting is vastly improved via the rebuilt T-100 5-Speed transmission with new Clutch and slave cylinder.

The car stops quickly and precisely with a completely rebuilt braking system with discs up front. All of the suspension is new and/or rebuilt so the ride and handling are tight and accurate.

The car has a beautiful sounding custom dual exhaust system as well. The car rides on a special, rare set of original Shelby wheels wrapped in 195/70R 13's. The rear end has been rebuilt, all hoses and lines replaced, fuel pump, alternator and essentially all ancillary items either rebuilt or replaced.

This California car was chosen for this project primarily because of its excellent rust-free condition. Prior to being sandblasted to bare metal, it was stripped down to the frame. Everything was removed; every nut/bolt/wire/hood/trunk lid/doors/windows/component then put in a rotisserie frame so the underside could be worked on.

A three-inch pipe chase was installed in the frame to accommodate a second exhaust line, and after minor repairs to the underside, the entire surface was undercoated.

The trunk was modified and made level where the spare was originally housed. The paint is smooth and glossy and the car has excellent panel alignments. All new glass was installed along with new rubber. Its finished in a deep, dark blue and has a mirror-finish.

The interior is all new and was heavily insulated prior to its professional installation making it much quieter and more comfortable than new. A brand new wiring harness ensures that all electrical components, accessories, switches, gauges, and clock (all new) work flawlessly. The interior of the doors, including the window crank assemblies and door-opening hardware, were removed and restored.

Glass and weather-stripping were replaced with new material. Gorgeous new burlwood dash, Moto-Lita wooden steering wheel, new seatbelts, and tonneau cover and an excellent convertible top.

This is a very special, extremely drivable classic Sunbeam Alpine V with incredible upgrades. A rare opportunity to own a classic Sunbeam that can truly be driven anywhere.
