Super original 1966 Chevrolet C10 for sale. This amazing California truck was purchased new on April 30, 1966, at Maggini Chevrolet, Berkeley, California. It remains finished in its original Fathom Turquoise and White, with a well-preserved, all-original Fawn Metallic interior and mostly intact Fawn vinyl upholstery. It includes its original owner’s guide, Protection Plan booklet, data sheet, and Protect-O-Plate.
Originally owned by a resident of Orinda, California, it was used locally until being sold to a nearby collector in 2008.
The original High-Torque 283-cubic-inch V8 starts quickly and runs strong. It appears to have never been out of the truck. The Powerglide automatic transmission shifts smoothly, and the truck handles well. Under the hood, everything remains highly original, with no signs of over-restoration or rattle-can paint — just pure and honest.
The exterior wears its beautifully patina’d original paint, a look that many enthusiasts might choose to “lock in” with a light clearcoat. The original wood bed is ready for replacement, but otherwise, this old Chevy has aged remarkably well over the past 59 years.
Inside, it’s equally impressive. It still wears its original Fawn vinyl seat cover, with the build sheet still tucked behind the seatback (albeit tattered). A new reproduction seat cover would be a smart idea, though we’ve placed a simple cover over it for preservation. Otherwise, the interior is a true time capsule and a treat to cruise around in.
