This is a Really Special 1955 MG TF 1500 for Sale

This is a very lovely old 1955 MG TF that was beautifully and completely restored between 1987 and 1995 by My MG Garage Car Company of Charlotte, North Carolina who were known for their outstanding restorations of these cars.

It was finished in Black over red leather with the highest quality parts and craftsmanship and still looks stunning today. In the notes, we see that the odometer was reset at the time of restoration so it looks to have traveled only a little over 6,500 miles since.

Now as a senior restoration it has a very light yet lovely patina is a wonderful T-Series with a three and a half pound notebook of history included.

The fit and finish on this T-Series is a testament to the quality of its restoration. The paint still looks nearly new with no rust, spidering or issues at all. It has a deep, beautiful finish.

The chrome, trim and glass also look stunning along with the canvas top and side curtains, they look to be barely used. The car includes a boot cover that may be the original. Overall it has a lovely exterior that you can't help but want to take a second glance at.

The interior is equally as pretty with high-quality leather and rugs properly fitted, barely worn and a lovely leather scent. All of the gauges and switches are in excellent working order. It has a newer Moto-Lita steering wheel and a set of air/fuel mixture and boost gauges to track supercharger performance.

The original, numbers matching engine, #2715 starts and runs beautifully with incredible performance. It was completely rebuilt and upgraded by the current owner in 2016 to dramatically increase the performance.

The Eaton M45 supercharger, billet crankshaft, and pistons were installed following consultations with Huffaker Racing at Sonoma Raceway. The pistons are JB forged pistons designed by Huffaker to give an 8 to 1 compression ratio. The billet crankshaft is from Moss Motors.

The car has done approx. 1,500 miles since then, all on rallies with the Wine Country Car Club. The speedometer has a ratio box to correct for the lower back axle ratio of 3.9. It has front disc brakes giving it more than ample stopping power along with a great sounding stainless steel exhaust system riding on a beautiful set of 15" chrome spokes wrapped in vintage style Firestone tires. This is a fantastic running and performing TF with all of the right gear.

This is a special and lovely MG TF ready for its new home and many more adventures. Contact Donn with questions, shipping, and financing options.
