This 1990 Porsche Carrera 4 C4 Cabriolet Convertible is an excellent example of the mark, and is presented in the highly desirable color combination of black on black. This car was originally reserved by the Oakland A’s and was delivered to the Oakland Coliseum for the last game of the 1990 season. It was to be given as a gift to Ricky Henderson, as it was expected that he would break the world record for bases stolen at that game. He stole no bases in that game (he did break the record in 1991) and the car was returned to the dealership unused. It was then sold to the present (original) owner.

As is fitting for a superstar, this car is appointed with all the amenities, including a 247 BHP 3.6 Liter SOHC engine, 5sp transmission (manual), full leather upholstery, force sensitive power steering, disc brakes with ABS, all-wheel drive, integrated spoiler with fog lights, extendable rear spoiler, fully lined power top, one key central locking/alarm system, automatic climate control, power windows/mirrors/seats, automatic speed control, 2+2 rear folding seats, heated mirrors/washer nozzles and six speaker sound system including an alpine amp and a 12 disc changer. Owner additions include updated Porsche “teardrop” mirrors, mirror covers, bra and upgraded 17 inch factory wheels. The wheels are in immaculate condition and have no “curb rash”.

As is expected in a 19 year old car, there are minor flaws in the paint (a few scratches and stone chips) and an intermittent speedometer dropout. The top has one small visible repair of a tear by the drivers’ window. The dash indicator for the top is not working properly, but the top secures just fine. The bolsters show very little wear and are in very good condition. The factory tool kit and air pump are present and intact. All registration slips have been retained from new to document that this is a one owner car. The owner is a non-smoker, and has driven less than 60,000 miles in this car. It has been well cared for, and a complete history of repair orders is present. The personalized plates are not included.
