1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 for sale with ice cold air conditioning. Body is straight, clean and rust free. Starts, runs and drives great with tight suspension, excellent brakes and plenty of power. Clutch feels good, car drives straight and solid with a nice set of Pirelli's all around.
Looks like the car was originally Giallo Ochra. I found a note in the records that referred to this new color as “Black Cherry”, indicating the paint was made by Sikkens. The previous owner I spoke to said that it was an Alfa color but without the correct technical name, I do not know how to reference it or find out what year and model it would have been used on. The paint job looks good, it's nice, smooth and shiny. The interior is in really good shape.
In speaking with a previous owner I was told that he believed the miles to be original and was told so by the person he purchased it from. It seems plausible given the condition of the interior and several other aspects of the car but with only around 20 records between 1980 and 2010 I cannot be sure or guarantee it.
I've driven this car a few hundred miles and really am impressed (this coming from a guy who usually drives vintage English and German cars). This is one of the few classic cars I have driven that I can totally see being an excellent daily driver. The heat is hot, the A/C is super cold, the wipers are quick, the lighting is excellent. Anyway, I guess if you've already had (or have) one of these GTV's than perhaps I'm just preaching to the choir.
