1965 Lincoln Continental Convertible for sale in Sonoma California. This suicide door Lincoln is a good car to enjoy now while the weather is great and improve upon as you see fit. Older, low quality repaint that looks fine from 20 feet back but could stand to be redone if you're looking for something a bit fresher. Some imperfections in the body but nothing major and there are another 75 photos in the Body Gallery slide show gallery so you can really take a close look. The interior looks good and is very comfortable. Looks to have been replaced years ago. The carpet is new. There is a nice sound system tucked away in the glove-box with a power amp mounted under the rear seat so it's easily heard while cruising with the top down. The top was just serviced by John Cashman and is functioning as it should except for one of the rear windows is not automatically dropping the 4" when putting the top up/down. (This can be done manually with the window switch and does not affect the top functionality). There is actually a video below where you can watch the top go up and down. Be sure to check that out.
Mechanically, the car starts; runs and drives well. When you look at the undercarriage shots, it's a bit wet under the car. We fixed the problem, the power steering was leaking. The engine burns clean and the car shifts as expected. Typical of these cars you sometimes need to jiggle the shifter a little to start it. There are a few items that do not work. A few things requiring attention: A/C either needs charging or rebuilding, emergency brake does not stay down, lighter, horn and clock are inoperable. 89K miles showing, could be original but I have no way of knowing.
Car is available for inspection by appointment and you can call me with your questions. I also have excellent shipping connections and am happy to get you a quote. Thanks for looking.
